What services do you offer?
We offer almost all types of repairs for commercial and residential equipment, except for industrial ones. If we can’t service your unit, we will let you know right away so you can look for another technician who specializes in those products.

What types of manufacturer warranties do you honor?
We honor installation and most manufacturer warranties. Please make sure you have completed the registration and other processes to guarantee full coverage for any products or services. For inquiries, feel free to reach out to us.

Do you offer a warranty on workmanship?
Our company offers a one-year workmanship warranty and a lifetime guarantee for ductwork. If you’re looking to add more years to your current coverage, we have extended warranties available. Contact us today so we can discuss the details of each option.

Do you give free estimates?
Star Heating & Air Conditioning only gives free estimates for equipment change out and sales, total systems solutions, and new construction. All diagnostic services and repair calls have corresponding fees.

Do you offer maintenance programs?
Even high-performance equipment won’t be in its full capacity if it’s not taken care of properly. To ensure peak efficiency and reduce potential repair costs, we suggest that you enroll in our maintenance programs. We don’t require monthly fees; payments are collected after we finish the tasks at hand.

A STAR representative will call you to set up an appointment at the most convenient time for you. Our team will go to your place to inspect your system, see its current condition, and determine whether or not it needs to undergo regular maintenance.

What are my payment options?
Fees are collected upon the completion of the project. We accept payments made through cash, check, or major credit cards like Visa and Mastercard.

Vertical Ground Loop System

• Compared to a horizontal ground loop system, installing a vertical ground loop is less disruptive to lawns and landscapes.

• This system is less expensive compared to the vertical ground loop system.
• Installation can be disruptive to lawn and landscapes.
• The system may be less consistent in extreme weather conditions.

Common Concerns

Will installation ruin my yard?
Vertical loop systems require one well per ton, and the size of the area they will occupy depend on the tonnage. There are chances that your lot will be disrupted and might require landscaping services to restore its original state. 

On the other hand, installing a horizontal loop system may cause huge disruption to your yard. This may require extensive landscaping to repair your lawn. 

Can I use geothermal in an existing home?
Yes, you can. However, you can only experience the maximum benefits of geothermal systems when it’s paired with the proper ductwork size for your chosen ground source system. It might be worth considering replacing your current conduits.

If changing your current ductwork is not a workable option for you, the systems’ full capacity won’t be reached. While it can still have an added value in energy savings, but the results may not be as quick. 

What kind of rebates are available?
Overall costs can be reduced through federal government and local electric cooperative rebates. However, the payback depends on the system you chose to install in your home. Return of investment varies per situation, but it’s usually within the life of the system.

Do geothermal units maintain the same level of comfort as a gas furnace?
